Default Slow90coupe's Notch Build Thread!

Hey guys!
i have had my car for about a year now and have been slowly trying to make it a decent car. it was a pile when i got it and it was finally starting to come around a little... until i got the urge to tear it apart again!!! my plans are just to do a HCI setup.. i have a TFS intake, Edelbrock heads, and a Lunati 51014 cam waiting to go in as well as all the supporting mods... for suspension i have a set of UPR coilovers, UPR k-member, and CC plates on the way. i am only 15 and have done almost all the work myself, with a little help from a friend from school( his car is a 93 Calypso hatch with HCI, runs 7.9s all day). anyways, heres what it looked like when i got it-

After a year worth of work

where i was at after pullin the motor...

cleaned up the bay... its gonna get painted and smoothed. sanding it right now

the intake

just got done undercoating the car

put on some KYB GR2s

painted the block and cleaned it up a little

painted my intake as well!

heres my friends car whos helping on lots of this...

got a set of prostars.. but i traded them for the greg welds pictured above... they look sexxy on his car!

on my car

i have lots of other pics but im just too lazy to post them lol, but this should give you a taste of what im doin.. LMK what yall think!!

i got the greg welds finally and polished them up nicely. i really like the way they look. they dont look funky in person, but on the internet they always seem to look retarded. i cant wait to get the stance right and get it running!!! next month she will be running again!

the more you see the qtr panel the worse it looks! hopefully that will also be fixed befor Mustang Week

played with engine bay colors... this is the color im going with.

sanding... gah it takes forever!

painted the engine bay!!!

sticking with the stock k-member too unfortunately

got new balljoints

got my control arms and spindles put back on

assembled my coilovers

got some CC plates for christmas!!!

put on my coilovers, struts, and all my front end crap

she hit the ground for the first time in a month or so. i left it there to give te lift a break for a night or 2..

put on my fender, alignment could be better but ill mess with it tomorrow some more

pretty low for still not having a motor! how much lower do you think it will go with full weight?

started refilling the engine bay

today i worked on wiring everything back up...

played with the coilovers today. i love the front stance!! now i gotta get the rear lowered a lot more. guess ill just cut my extra set of springs

almost perfect for my taste

Then i got my fender aligned. i think i got it as good as i can get it.
i also raised it back up to a drivable stance. befor i couldnt even clear the lift!!

well i got the tranny in!!! i was able to jack up 1 end at a time, put something under that end, jack up the other end, stick something under that end, and repeat this about 8 times. but i finally got it in!!! then, i pushed her outside and then dusted it off, quick detailed it, and took some pics!!

the interior needs a vacuuming but still is in ok condition

front looks good now

i spent most of the day cleaning up my garage. i hadnt really gave it a good cleaning in a while

thought these pics were cool as well

tucked her back in for a few more weeks. then she will come to life!!!!

as you can tell i like to take pics lol
ok i made a little bit of progress on the car today.
put in my radiator and ran the rest of my wires and PS hoses..

put on my new cowl panel and trim pieces.. still got to figure out what to do about my dented cowl. my cowl hood flew up during my FIRST time doing a WOT pull. the car hasnt been started since that day. that was when i tore it apart out of anger.

heres my retarded looking ghetto antenna

and i got my stock hood out and polished it up. its going back on for sure.

heres a photoshop of my new wheels im getting this weekend...

Careful with those Greg Welds, the washers(if you used the ones they send you)tend to walk a little, after you drive it/roll it around, they can be a bit h to get off without damaging the wheel
